While Michelle Obama is termed to be one of the world’s best dressed, it’s only human that she does make a few fashion blunders too.
However, while the masses may be supportive of her in all walks of life, some fashion critics simply can’t stay still when they caught a glimpse of her in a white dress while vacationing in Spain.
Michelle Obama’s elegant sense of style usually excuses her for some of her fashion mistakes but this was one prime example that many just couldn’t allow sliding.
Mrs. Obama made the news as one of the worst dressed when she was pictured standing next to Spain’s Queen Letizia. And trust us when we say, the comments just kept on getting uglier by the second.
While some thought the dress was far from flattering, others felt like Mrs. Obama should dress her age and size. Certainly, the flowy white-toned summer dress was not her fit, making Michelle appear much larger than what she really is. But it just wasn’t the poor tailoring that many people noticed.
The internet was left divided as the former First Lady stood next to a very petite and glamorous Queen Letizia as the women walked through the stunning garden of Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. The visit was a part of the initiative called, ‘Let Girls Learn,’ where many spoke about how important education was for females around the globe.
But it appears critics were much more interested in Michelle Obama’s attire than her wonderful cause.
They just couldn’t stop ranting over why she would choose such an ill-fitted midi dress for some a prominent occasion. Others felt her stylist should be fired while some mentioned that Mrs. Obama needed to lose weight badly.
The summer staple look featured a cape-like effect, being cut out from the back. And hence, it showed off some skin too, which is again not a trademark for Michelle. Clearly, she appeared to be embracing her feminine side, despite being in an official gathering.
