Mike Pence, former Vice President, and other officials such as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi called to try to alleviate the situation, begging for help after they had been evacuated from the Senate floor.

The first rioters who made their way to the Capitol was around 1:45 pm, where leaders Pence, Pelosi, and Schumer were evacuated around 2:13 pm. In the time period of 2:13 pm and 4:06 pm, they were constantly calling for help. There was no help to be there with them until 5:20 pm. That leaves around an hour and a half for them to arrive.
