Mike Tyson Offered $1 Million To Fight A Retired Rugby Legend


Mike Tyson has allegedly been offered $1 million to fight one of the rugby legends in an exhibition bout upon the boxer’s return to the ring.

As the Iron Mike has recently announced, he’s planning on reclaiming his place in the ring whereas his focus lies on charity fights.

Following the 53-year-old’s revelation, the Baddest Man on The Planet has been showered with offers whereas promoter Brian Amatruda suggested former rugby league players including Paul Gallen, Barry Hall, and Sonny Bill Williams, who won all of his seven professional fights, as opponents.

“He might be 53 years old but he’s still a huge name and any of those blokes Hall, Gallen or Sonny Bill would jump at the chance to get into the ring with him,” the promoter said in an interview with Daily Mail.

“I’d make it part of a card with a world title fight. It would be enormous. Not just a fight, it would be an event.

“The first thing I did was contact Max Markson [agent] and ask him to offer Tyson $1million.”

According to the reports, it is now up to Tyson to choose his opponent.

As Amatruda went on to suggest, he would hold the bout at Melbourne Arena or Princes Park in Australia where Tyson was last seen in 2012.

“I’d hold it at Melbourne Arena where we’d get over 10,000 or even Princes Park where they got 30,000 for Jeff Fenech versus Azumah Nelson,” he explained.
