Losing your weight isn’t difficult if you follow a simple rule: eat less, move more! That way, the fat stored in your body will be used for getting energy.
But, this whole process takes months and most of the time, one simply loses the motivation after not observing a rapid progress. So, as a jump start, a huge reduction on the scale is something that can boost and motivate you to go on a diet.
So, here is the 3-day military diet that can help you lose 10 pounds in just 3 days!
#Day 1
Breakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day since it helps kickstart our metabolism and gives us the energy required for the major part of the day.
So, for your breakfast for the first day of the 3-day military diet, you should have a slice of toast with two tablespoons of peanut butter and half a grapefruit.
If you are allergic to peanut, you can use almond butter, sunflower seed butter, soy butter, pumpkin butter, bean dip, or hummus in its place.
Lastly, you can have a cup of caffeinated tea or black coffee. But you should not add any sweeteners, sugar, cream or milk into your tea or coffee. Also, note that these beverages aren’t an essential part of this diet and you can substitute them with any amount of water.
Lunch: As the next meal, you are supposed to take a slice of toast (but this time without any peanut butter) and a half cup of tuna along with water, tea or black coffee. If you want to season your food, you can also take alternatives like garlic salt, mustard, pepper, honey, or any other low-calorie seasoning.
Dinner: For dinner, take three ounces of meat (any type will work), one cup of vanilla ice cream, one cup of green beans, one small apple and half a banana.
Congrats, you have successfully completed the day 1 of your 3-day military diet!
#Day 2
Breakfast: For the breakfast of day 2, take a slice of whole wheat or multigrain toast, half a banana and one whole egg.
Lunch: For lunch, take a cup of cottage cheese (you can also take a slice of cheddar cheese in its place), five saltine crackers and one hard-boiled egg. Please note that, while you are on this low-food diet, you aren’t supposed to work out intensely. Instead, just take a 30 minutes’ walk.
Dinner: For dinner, you can take two hot dogs (without buns), half a cup of vanilla ice cream, half a banana, half a cup of carrots and a cup of broccoli. The reason behind using vanilla ice cream in this diet isn’t clearly known but you can also substitute it with a cup of banana, vanilla or strawberry flavored almond milk or a cup of apple juice.
Also remember that the vegetables you should use in the diet must be taken in steamed, boiled, baked or raw form. Meat used should be baked or grilled, and if you’re a veggie then substitute it with protein sources like lentils, beans, tofu, or portobello mushrooms.
#Day 3
Breakfast: The final day is here! For breakfast, take five saltine crackers, one small apple and a slice of cheddar cheese. You can also take rice cakes instead of saltine crackers but in the same amount. Similarly, you can take ham, eggs, soy cheese, or cabbage in place of cheddar cheese. Also, don’t forget to take your caffeinated tea or black coffee!
Lunch: For lunch, take a slice of multigrain or whole wheat toast along with a hard-boiled egg. You can replace the egg with a chicken wing, two slices of bacon, or one cup of milk.
Dinner: For the last meal of the diet, take a cup of tuna, one cup of vanilla ice cream and half a banana.
While going on this diet, you aren’t supposed to take any snack. You can just have the foods mentioned in the plan. However, if you have a problem with eating any food at a specific time of day, you can switch them around. To be put it simply, you can have breakfast for dinner and vice versa but you can’t add any other foods in!
As with the drinks, alcohol is strictly prohibited to be taken in during the diet. Even after completing this diet plan, you shouldn’t consume it. If you feel you MUST drink, take a glass of wine as a substitute.
And also remember that fat and weight loss are two entirely different things. This diet plan reduces your weight by 10 pounds but not all of that will comprise of fats. The reduction in salts and calories will make you shed water weight, extra intestinal mass, and some fats as well.
