You might have heard of many miracles, some of them were a hoax and some probably real.
However, determining the authenticity of this particular miracle can take years.
The statue of Virgin Mary at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Hobbs, New Mexico is crying and the tears suspiciously smell like roses. The churchgoers noticed these tears on Sunday during Mass.
Father Jose ‘Pepe’ Segura, the pastor of that Church said that a parishioner told him about the crying statue of Virgin Mary. He saw that people were wiping the tears from the statue, but they reappeared.
According to the Pastor, it is a reminder for us to stop the violence and get closer to the almighty God.
People were coming from all over the New Mexico and Texas to see the ‘miracle of the God’; the church remained open for the people to see.
Peter McDonald said that it is a blessing to see a statue crying like this. He brought all the five of his children to see the statue, all the way from Midland Texas, that too during the school hours.
Diocese of Las Cruces also came to check whether the tears are true, he said that it would take a lot of time to know what is going on with the statue. The authorities closed the church for the rest of the people while the officials collected the sample of the ‘tears’.
The investigators confirmed that the investigation can take a lot of time to complete as they will be interviewing the witnesses, X-ray the statue and if needed, then dig all the way back to where the statue was carved.
