Miranda Kerr has shared her relationship with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom and his fiancée, singer Katy Perry.
Miranda May Kerr, 38, is an Australian model and businesswoman. Kerr rose to prominence in 2007, as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.
Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom, 44, is an English actor. He made his breakthrough as the character Legolas in The Lord of the Rings film series, a role he reprised in The Hobbit film series.
He gained further notice appearing in epic fantasy, historical, and adventure films, notably as Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.
Miranda and Orlando began dating in late 2007. They announced their engagement in June 2010, and they were married the following month.
The model gave birth to their son, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, 10, on 6 January 2011. In October 2013, Kerr and Bloom announced that they had separated several months earlier and intend to end their marriage. The divorce was official by the end of 2013.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Moments with Candace Parker podcast, Miranda joked that she prefers spending time with Katy Perry, 36, Orlando’s fiancée, rather than with her ex.
She opened up about the friendly relationship among her ex Orlando, his current fiancée, Katy, and herself. She says that she now sees him more like a sibling than an ex.
“He’s, like, to me right now, a brother. And most of the time, an annoying brother,” Miranda said.
She said that Katy “helps me deal with him” and that she’s “so grateful (Katy) is there because it takes the pressure off me”.
“We go on holidays together. We celebrate all the important milestones together, I love her,” Miranda said. “I mean, it’d be safe to say that I love her more than Flynn’s dad.”
The Australian model talked about her first encounter with the singer in Orlando’s malibu home.
“When Orlando started dating Katy, I remember he invited me over one time and she was there, and we just immediately got along,” she recalled. “I saw how she was with Flynn. She was very playful with Flynn. She was not trying to be his mom. She was just being friendly and fun, and that’s all you can ask for.”
“We hung out by the pool at his house in Malibu and then there was like a little party up the road, and we all went to it together and it was like, “Oh, this is great!” she added.
Miranda admitted the three of them have a really solid co-parenting relationship.
Orlando began dating American singer and songwriter Katy Perry in January 2016, however, the couple confirmed in February 2017 that they had split. They resumed their relationship in February 2018 and became engaged on February 14, 2019.
In March 2020, it was revealed through the music video for Katy’s song “Never Worn White” that the couple was expecting their first child together. Katy gave birth to their daughter Daisy Dove on August 26, 2020.
In 2015, Miranda began dating Evan Spiegel, billionaire Snapchat co-founder, and CEO. In July 2016, she announced her engagement to Evan, and they married in May 2017.
In November 2017, Miranda announced she is expecting her second child and first child with Evan. On May 7, 2018, she gave birth to a son named Hart Spiegel,3. Ten months after Hart’s birth, she then announced her third pregnancy. She gave birth to Myles, 18 months, in October 2019.
Back in November, the former Victoria’s Secret model told Drew Barrymore that she adores the pop star.
“I adore Katy and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing,” Miranda said.
“I’m just so grateful that Orlando and Katy found each other and I’m so grateful that I found my incredible husband and just that we all really respect each other,” she added.
