Miss England Winner is All Geared Up To Resume Her Job As a NHS Junior Doctor

Basha Mukherjee, Winner of Miss England and Junior Doctor, have come back to the UK to assist the country’s medical workers who are combating the coronavirus outbreak at the frontline.

The pageant queen from Derby had taken a break from her medical career in order to do charity work overseas post-winning Miss England in 2019.

She was stuck in India after Narendra Modi, the country’s Prime Minister imposed country-wide lockdown.

However, after an appeal to the Foreign Office, the 24-year-old junior doctor will now be able to resume her work at the frontline and help her NHS colleagues in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, which has claimed over 6,159 lives in the UK.

Dr. Mukherjee was born in Kolkata, India prior to moving to Derby at the age of nine. She said that after she learned about the pandemic, all she wanted to do was head straight to work.

She revealed to CNN that she wanted to come back to the UK and resume work as soon as possible.

The junior doctor who previously worked at the Pilgrim Hospital situated in Boston, Lincolnshire has returned back to England. Fortunately, the British High Commission in Kolkata were able to able to find a flight for her so that she can return back to her home safely.

After receiving her appeal, the British Deputy High Commissioner Nick Law secured the junior doctor a flight back to the UK through Frankfurt.

He later tweeted praising Dr. Bhasha saying that she is indeed a blessing. And he cannot wait to see the vlog, and she has a successful career on screen. But right now, Pilgrim Hospital needs her, and this is exactly where she should be.

Dr. Bhasha said that there is no better time to be Miss England and help the country at this challenging time.
