Despite the parents’ frantic search for the toddler, they couldn’t find her as the girl ended up 550 miles away in Western Russia where she was found along the rail tracks.

Due to the nature of the girl’s disappearance, the police treated her parents, especially the father, as primary suspects.

Fortunately, however, the case could finally be closed two decades later when Yulia and her boyfriend, Ilya Kryukov, tracked down her family on social media.

After taking a DNA test to get to the bottom of the matter, Yulia was thrilled that her long lost parents were indeed Viktor and Lyudmila Moiseenko.

“It was proved by a DNA test, but it was clear even before, we are so much alike, as soon as we saw the photographs of each other,” Yulia said.

“Nobody had any doubts – we are one family. I found not only my mother and father in Belarus, but also brother Dmitry and elder sister Nadezhda.”

Speaking of their emotional reunion, the now-24-year-old woman said:

“We were all in tears. We could not even talk, we only cried and hugged each other. My parents have told me that they were searching for me for a long time, that they believed they would find me one day.
