Although there are best treatments available now around the world, the disease still takes a role and breaks a human and its entire family from within.
Now, wonder how terrible it will be when it is not just one member of a family but two together are diagnosed with this terrifying disease.
In the year 2016, Vici Rigby a mother was diagnosed with colorectal cancer of stage 4 in autumn 2016.
The news had come just 4 months after her son George was diagnosed with the case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Yes, it must have been terrifying for the pair and the entire family but 4 years of chemotherapy and multiple treatments the pair finally received the good news and they rang the bell together.
Yes, the pair is now cancer-free after 4 years of treatment and is ready to lead a normal life as they should have.
Vici said “When we first received the news of George it was like the floor underneath our feet was gone.
It was terrible to know that our 4 years old boy was diagnosed with this terrible disease and just within 4 months, I was diagnosed with the same and could not think of anything.
I was constantly thinking it would need not just one but two miracles for us both to survive these horrible diseases.
George was responding well to the treatments so we were happy and hopeful and so did I.
Today we are here, ringing the bell and walking out of this extremely terrible disease together as a team and I can’t be happier.
