A mother-of-six has shared how she manages to save a lot of time by bathing her kids only three times a week and letting them eat with their hands.
Constance Hall shared her secrets on ‘how she survives’ to Perth-based Mamamia and explained ‘dishes are the worst part’ of the meal.
“Feast with your hands… I often put [out] a huge pile of vegetables along with another plate of sliced meat or whatever you’re making,” Hall explained.
She also recommended picnic dinners for a more affordable option that ‘gets it done.’
Hall revealed that she does not give her children a bath every day, explaining skipping it ‘won’t kill them.’
“They don’t have to bath or shower every day. They can quite often skip that part of the routine if it’s getting everyone down. I’m like, ‘Fine, stinky, go to school and gross everyone out’,” the mother-of-six added.
When it comes to washing clothes for six children, Hall gave a piece of advice. She encouraged other moms to purchase a set of colored buckets and label them for each kid, and ‘chucking’ each child’s clothes in the container.
This allows the kids to know which bucket to choose and they want to fold their clothes.
She also said that every parent should have a ‘check-out’ time, and hers is 7:30 pm sharp!
“I’m not your mum; I’m not here. I’m not your slave, I’m just a statue of a woman who an hour ago wiped your bum and is now drinking wine chatting on the phone to her sister,” Hall explained.
Last month, she shared a throwback photo of her pregnancy belly before giving birth to her twins. She admitted that she was ‘struggling to survive’ and ‘depressed’ before the arrival of Snow and Rumi in 2015.
“So many people thought [this picture] was a beautiful memory, of course it was. To the outside world,” she shared. “Inside I was dying. I couldn’t change positions without panting for 5 minutes.”
