Louise Williams found an innovative idea to convince three-year-old, Neeve, that the elves are real.
The mom waited until her daughter was asleep.
Neeve was sleeping in her favorite mermaid nightie when Louise carefully switched her pajamas as she slept – puts her in an Elf-themed set instead.
Louise tucked up the three naughty elves in the nightie and put them next to the bed where Neeve was sleeping.
She shared her prank on Facebook group Elf on the Shelf 2019, she said: “My little girl is going to be so confused in the morning.
“She picked her own nightie for bed tonight as it was her favorite, but she will be waking up in her new elf on the shelf pajamas. Mischievous elves.”
Louise even recorded Neeve’s reaction as she woke up, and the little girl gave confused expressions while looking down at her PJs.
Hundreds of people have praised Louise’s prank.
Commenting online, one person said: “How did she not wake up?? That’s brilliant.”
Another said: “I’m doing this tonight. Thank you for the idea.”
A third wrote: “That’s some mom skills lol mine would wake up.”
This mom added: “That’s great. I’d love to see her face in the morning.”
Louise also drew cat ears and glasses on Neeve as she slept. She also turned Neeve’s pennies into chocolate coins and eggs into Kinder eggs and blamed the elves.
Recently, a mother’s prank went viral, where a mother-of-three has wrapped up her entire family car and blamed their two elves, Candy and Cane.
Her children Riley, seven, Ava-Rose, five, and Oscar, three, were both excited and shocked to see what their two elves Candy and Cane had done.
Eleanor, from Meifod, Wales said: ‘The elves have been ‘visiting’ our home for four years now so I am forever thinking of ways and looking online to shock the children. Pinterest is a really good source for ideas.’
Well, some people love to prank so much.
