Lincoln Tanner is a one-year-old boy who has seen a fair share of painful life in less amount of time.
He was diagnosed with a rare brain disease – a terminal form of epilepsy known as Malignant Migrating Partial Seizures of Infancy (MMPSI). In other words, little Lincoln can experience as many as 200 seizures per day.
Fortunately, Lincoln has a family who loves him to the moon and back and is doing everything in their power to make his life comfortable.
Abby, his mother, is doing her very best to make his life easy and normal. She strives to make him laugh, entertains him with spontaneous bouts of singing.
One of her recent performances was captured by a nurse on tape at a hospital and since has spread like a wildfire on the internet.
Abby is a mother of three from South Carolina. She had taken Lincoln to the Duke Cancer Institute in Durham, North Carolina. When Abby came across a beautiful black piano at the hospital, she couldn’t stop herself from playing.
She parked Lincoln’s baby stroller next to this beautiful piano and started playing “Never Enough” on the piano from the movie The Greatest Showman. It was really something; she knew that Lincoln could feel the music, and hear her voice despite his condition.
A group of nurses at the hospital was forced to stop whatever they were doing seeing Abby’s powerful performance. When she completed her performance, they began to applaud.
The video of Abby singing has gone viral on the internet. Abby wants to spread awareness about Malignant Migrating Partial Seizures of Infancy and wants to warn all the mothers out there about its effects.
