An adorable video of a garbage-collecting duo is doing the rounds on the internet.
The video features a 16-month-old toddler, Gray, as he gives a helping hand to the local garbage man in the Jefferson Park area of a Baton Rouge neighborhood.
Gray has always been fascinated with the garbage man, Mr. Anthony, ever since the kid met him for the first time at the age of five months.
Mr. Anthony is not only a friend but also a superhero to little Gray.
Every now and then, Mr. Anthony takes a break from his duty to sit down and play with Gray. They often play chalk games, and sometimes with Gray’s trucks.
However, it appears the duo has joined hands in something more than just playing.
In a heartwarming video shared by Gray’s mother Shelley Guidry, Mr. Anthony was seen holding Gray as the toddler pushed the garbage can up the driveway for him.
The garbage man kept encouraging the kid to be strong as the little man proved he ought not to be taken lightly.
Posting the video on Facebook, Guirdy wrote: “[T]hey really have the cutest little friendship! It’s just about the sweetest thing.”
Someone who knew Mr. Anthony commented on the video, writing: “That’s my old neighbor. He’s a great guy and really loves the kids.”
The mother responded, “I was hoping someone who knows Anthony would see this – we love our mornings with Mr. Anthony!”
Gray’s father Ryan Guidry was also delighted to see the love and attention Mr. Anthony received through the video.
Taking to Facebook, he wrote: “These guys work hard, and they still take time out of their day to spend time with my son. That time means a lot to our family, and I’m glad it’s touching so many others as well.”
