They have a personality that varies from one dog to another.
Each time you will think that this is something every dog does and my dog is just an ordinary one, they will surprise you with something you would have never come around.

If you still have doubt, look at this Husky pup and you will know what we are talking about. Napping is something humans love and even dogs do the same. But just like humans are cranky about it, sometimes the dogs can get cranky too.
In a room full of napping dogs, this Husky baby denies taking rest because he needs a room all by himself. Yes, dogs can be demanding too.
After a long day at training and running around the ground, all the dogs were exhausted and need time to rest. This husky needed to rest too but he decided to do otherwise.
Dogs need attention because this is the basic cycle their cognition works in.
Dogs need sleep based on their breed. Most of the breeds need an average of 13 -14 hours of sleep in a day. This need is also influenced by age. They take about 8-9 hours of sleep in the night and the rest of it in the day in small breaks.
They can go long without taking sleep but this is just going to exhaust them.
Another factor influencing their sleep is the season. Generally, the cold makes them sleep for longer hours whereas summers cut their time for sleep and make them more active to run around.
Dogs behave just like babies at most times. They need to be trained to sleep in the right timings or they will never be able to rest properly and neither will let you.
