How would you live if you know that your home is gone and you have no place else to live?
This is the same as what happened to this pair of a mother and her baby orangutan who were both found in a community garden after their home was destroyed almost 4 years ago.

Yes, orangutans do not live in gardens but this pair had to move because they had lost their habitat and found shelter in a park in a village.
International Animal Rescue, a wildlife charity in the UK, got to know about the pair and they wasted no time jumping in.
The rescue team had decided not to let the baby and her mother get into starvation or to be killed by poachers as they tracked them down in the North Kayong Regency, Kalimantan.
They gave the two anesthesias to make them sleep for 6 hours which was enough for their mission to transfer the mother and her baby to their new home that is safe and right for them.
The two were taken about 70 miles away to Simpang Hilir District’s Kubang Resort National Park and were then released in the park.
The director of the charity’s Indonesia rescue team, Karmele Llano Sanchez said, “Kalimantan had a massive fire in 2015 that almost destroyed it.
That is when this pair, like several other animals, lost their habitat and since then they have been wandering, It was their fortune that they are still alive and we are so thankful that we found them just in time and sent them to a safe place to live.
Orangutans are the ones to be affected most by the fires and most of them found their ways to public parks, farms, and grasslands.”
The pair is safe now and will lead a better life where they won’t have to starve anymore.
