A 23-year-old mother from Vancouver criticized for letting her children eat McDonald’s and watch YouTube.
Caitlin Fladager shared a picture of her two children, Ariana and Jack, eating McDonald’s and watching YouTube.
She captioned the picture: “Sometimes I make my kids awesome dinners and do activities with them. But some days I get them McDonald’s and let them watch a lot of TV (YouTube).”
The mother was brutally trolled after sharing the picture of her children and one even said letting the children eat McDonald’s is like giving them cigarettes.
After being criticized, she hit back at trolls and invited mothers to share their ‘mum-shaming stories’ as she wrote: ‘I want to celebrate all we do for our kids, even the “frowned upon” things. We’re all doing the best we can!’
Internet users came out to support her and said they see nothing wrong in the picture.
Last year, when Caitlin told her Instagram followers that she smokes weed after her children go to bed, she was branded a bad mother.
The mother said marijuana helps her being a better mother. Caitlin was slammed for her comment and then she hit back saying: “It’s so funny to me how frowned upon marijuana is.”
She said no one criticizes a mother who says she drinks wine after putting her children to sleep but when a mother says she smokes weed, it’s a huge problem.
She said smoking weed helps her cope with anxiety and she does it to gain weight as she has always been dangerously underweight.
She went on to say that weed makes her a better mother as she gets a good sleep after she smokes.
She added: “Marijuana is my glass of wine. It’s my can of beer. It’s my relaxation time. You can still be a kick ass mom, and smoke weed.”
The mother has again become the victim of trolls after sharing the picture of her children enjoying McDonald’s while watching YouTube.
Again, she hit back at her trolls and gave them a befitting reply.
