The birthday parties now are as important for parents as for kids and one mother proved how she doesn’t want to miss a chance to celebrate her daughter’s birthday on a grand level.
A mother named Amy Movsisian runs events-planning company, Arden Events, has been throwing parties for her daughter Melina since she was only six months old.
She chose a carnival theme for her daughter’s seventh birthday this year and guests experienced a bouncy castle, revolving teacups ride, pick’n’mix stations and a ballerina who performed throughout the day.
Amy spent £400($520) on the birthday cake and £500($650) on the pastel balloons which filled the Melbourne venue. For the grand birthday party, she hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture every moment in the camera.

The 50 adults were served Mediterranean food, Melina’s 30 friends could pick from hot dogs, chicken nuggets and chips which were served in pink personalized “Melina’s Carnival” boxes.point 182 | 1
Amy also spent another £1,000($1300) on a custom pink backdrop, £1,200($1500) on lighting and £360($470) on pastel tableware for Melina’s friends. She received flak for throwing extravagant parties for her girl and Amy responded to the criticism saying, “People have judged me for throwing these sorts of parties.
“But I am in the event industry and I want my child to have the best. I would feel so guilty if I threw parties for other children and my child just had her party at McDonalds.
“I am a very creative person and I love parties so Melina’s parties are always a good excuse for me to go all out.”
