A mother-of-seven, from Australia, slammed online for creating a £270 DIY spa bathtub in her back garden.
Blogger Constance Hall took to Instagram to share the pictures of her backyard spa.
The mother told that she always wanted a pool but then decided to create a DIY spa bathtub in her back garden after her husband advised her.
She wrote on Instagram: “This house has a small block, we have a pond full of fish here with a beautiful water feature and the sound of that is so relaxing, but I still wanted something I could hop in. A spa! I thought.”
“But Denim (her husband) convinced me that Spa’s get rank really easily and then there is the whole testing of chlorine and bla bla bla it all sounded way to scientific for me.”
The couple then created the ‘heavenly’ DIY spa bathtub for £270 by purchasing the £77 timber for the deck, the £26 pipes, £20 joins and the taps.
She wrote: “And the drain is emptied onto our garden!!! So proud of my husband and bath time just got so much more fun. Not a plumber, just a clever b***ard.”
She shared the picture of her children happily enjoying in the hot tub.
However, the mother criticized for the homemade bathtub as parents said there is the risk of drowning.
One user suggested them to be very careful and always remember to drain it.
Another user said it is so scary as children drown quickly and warned the mother to always keep an eye on her children.
One user warned: “We have to have fences around even little wading pools … it’s the law.”
While some loved the idea and praised the couple for their hard work.
There is no doubt the DIY spa bathtub looks really cool but we agree with the users that the risk of drowning is also high.
