Charlotte Brooks, who is a teaching assistant, was unable to lose weight as her daughter would always distract her.
Charlotte then decided to include her baby in her routines and now the mother works out with her two daughters – four-month-old Mylah and eight-year-old, Sadie.
The mother started using her daughter as a weight for her workouts and has now lost nine pounds in just a few weeks.
Charlotte said: “I didn’t really expect much, but she absolutely loved it. Now she’s always wanting to do a work out with me – she’s obsessed!”
Charlotte used to go to the gym before giving birth to Mylah but had no time after the birth of her daughter.
She started working out at her home but her little one would always distract her so, the mother decided to include her in her routines.
She now works out three times a week and has gone from 13 stone 9lbs to 13 stone in just a few weeks.
She said: “It was just more comfortable to do it from home, so I bought some weights and gym bits – but then I’d get them out and struggle to think of a routine.”
The trio does squats, planks, sit-ups, star jumps, burpees, and lunges. The single mother said: “Because Sadie is so energetic and excited to do it, it makes me get more into it too and inspires me. She’s always saying ‘Mum, when are we doing a workout?’”
“We don’t usually do it every day, but with Sadie being on the half term we’ve done it loads the past couple of weeks.”
“It’s important to teach my girls to be active – but it’s also a bonding time for us. It’s nice to be spending that time together just having a bit of fun.”
The incredible weight loss of the mother is commendable. She is an inspiration to those who are trying to lose weight but are unable to do so because of their children.
