A mother has opened up about the racial harassment her family has been subjected to and claimed her neighbors dumped dead animals and feces on her property.
Jennifer McLeggan is a nurse and a mother living in the village of Valley Stream in Long Island, New York, in proximity to neighbors who allegedly threaten and harass her.
According to McLeggan, her neighbors have been harassing her ever since she had bought the home and moved in over two years ago.
As the mother alleged, her neighbors would throw feces and dead animals on her lawn and flaunt their guns in front of her. Jennifer also claimed that they threatened that she can be erased.
Explaining her situation in a lengthy note she hung on her front door, the mother wrote:
“’My neighbors have been racially harassing me since I purchased my home. I took video footage to court and won a $5,000 judgment from my videos.
“They have thrown human feces on my property and it was recorded. They are now planting dead squirrels on my property and have told me to go back to where I came from.
“They have their friends come spit on my property and it was recorded. A blow torch was taken to my home at 3 am. They have said that I can be ‘erased.’”
As McLeggan revealed, she opened up about the threats and the harassment to the police who allegedly told her they couldn’t act to arrest her neighbors unless they harmed her.
After the mother’s story went viral, supporters had gathered at her home and prayed outside. Jennifer has eventually also been backed up by Nassau County 5th Precinct who stationed a police officer outside the family home while the allegations of harassment are being investigated.
