A mother has been left horrified after a ‘ghost’ visited her sleeping baby.
39-year-old Cheryl Scott believes a baby monitor captured a friendly ghost looming over her five-month-old son while he was sleeping in his crib.
The spine-tingling footage shows two orb-like objects hovering over little Scott Thorrat as he sleeps with a blanket covering his legs.
Scott’s father, Robert, also insists that the two floating objects have “never been there before” and that it made the monitor spin around to face a bright light, which the parents say was switched off when they went to their bedroom.
Speaking to the Sun, Robert said: “Basically the baby monitor was telling us there was movement.
“Because we were both sleeping we hadn’t seen it at the time. What happened this week has just been astronomical.”
He also claims that the footage shows a clear ‘arm’ over the crib.
In an interview with the Daily Record, Cheryl said: “It’s as if you can see a hand waving between the chest of drawers and the cot. I definitely think a ghost visited. Robert didn’t believe in ghosts but now he’s not so sure.”
The house was previously lived in by Cheryl’s grandparents, who passed away many years ago.
“I believe in ghosts but nothing like this has ever happened before,” Cheryl said. “We can watch baby monitor videos on our phone, and we looked through Saturday night’s clip on Tuesday night. We noticed the two floating objects that had never been there before.
“Then all of a sudden the camera spun right round, which never happens, it’s fixed facing Scott. It turns to face a light that we didn’t switch on.
“It’s as if you can see a hand waving between the chest of drawers and the cot.”
Cheryl believes that the orbs may be their baby’s friendly visitors. “I’m convinced that the ghost was my gran or papa coming to visit Scott.
“Everyone’s got their own beliefs which is fine, but I do believe in the afterlife and ghosts. We never thought their house was haunted but maybe it is?”
