A terrified mother removed a huge huntsman spider from her car only to find its babies hatching inside.
Emma was driving at a petrol station in Adelaide, Australia when she saw a spider crawling along the dashboard.
She stared at the critter for some time, thinking “what I am going to do with this thing?” but she managed to get rid of it and put an end to her dilemma.
However, the situation got worse as hundreds of baby spiders started appearing three days later, forcing her to abandon her vehicle.
“As I pulled up, I looked out of the corner of my eye and on passengers side, on the dash was the spider,” Emma told Daily Mail.
“I really just stared at it for a while, thinking ‘what am I going to do with this thing?’
“I was by myself luckily, my kids would have freaked out!”
Emma said she attempted to remove the huge creature with her shoe. “I tried to get it out while looking through the windscreen to create a barrier but it jumped and ended up on the glove box.”
But she eventually managed to squash the spider and threw it in the bin.
However, her dilemma did not end there.
“Over next couple of days, when I was driving with my kids in the car, babies started coming out of nowhere,” she shared. “My eldest freaked out when she saw a baby in the front seat, the other two in the back turned into statues.”
Emma also shared one incident when a baby spider suddenly appeared while she was driving down the Southern Expressway at 100km/h.
“One popped out and I just had to get rid of it while driving,” she said.
She then used her husband’s car to drive to Bunnings and bought an insect bomb.
“When I opened the car, there were webs everywhere, the babies were coming down off the roof.”
The mother left the insect bomb in her car and has since removed all the dead spiders.
Her story was later shared on Facebook by a radio host, with many people suggesting she ‘burn the car.’
