A young Texas girl was allegedly sexually assaulted before getting beaten to death, court documents have revealed.
2-year-old Hazana Anderson from College Station was struck with a belt numerous times by her 21-year-old mother, Tiaundra Christon, and her mom’s boyfriend, 32-year-old Kenny Hewett.
When they realized that the toddler was unconscious, they placed her in a cold bath to try to revive her. After recognizing that she was dead, Christon decided to drive around with the girl’s body in her vehicle for three days. She dumped the body in a bayou before reporting her missing.
In a statement, the mother told the Department of Public Safety that they were staying at the Downtowner Inns and Suites hotel from October 17 to October 20.
According to the affidavit, read by DailyMail, her boyfriend took Hazana to grab some food on October 19. When they came back about 30 minutes later, the girl was already crying, which is when Hewett started beating her with a belt.
The 32-year-old allegedly commanded Christon to hit the toddler with the belt. When she didn’t hit her hard enough, Hewett started to beat her again.
Christon said that her daughter started going in and out of consciousness, so they placed her in the bathtub to try to revive her.
The mother also said that she noticed some signs of sexual assault on her daughter when she was removing her clothes.
After realizing that Hazana was dead and cold to the touch, they tried to raise her body temperature with a hair dryer, but it only burned her skin.
Christon told the authorities she kept her daughter’s body under the back passenger floorboard of her vehicle for three days.
On the 23rd of October, Hewett and Christon tied a heavy rock to the body and dumped it into a body of water.
Authorities recovered the body on Halloween. Christon was arrested and charged with tampering with a corpse, giving a false report to police, and child endangerment. She is being held in the Brazos County Jail with bail set at $750,000.
Hewett was also charged with tampering with a corpse and is being held in Galveston County with a $500,000 bail.
