A mother was slammed on the internet after putting her young children on Facebook live and telling friends and strangers to watch over them.
While most parents come up with their own solutions when they need a break, one mom appeared to have crossed the limit when she decided to tell her friends on Facebook to watch over her kids before going for a smoke.
“Can y’all watch them while I go smoke?” the mother captioned her live stream video in which the kids were seen seated on a couch in front of her laptop.
Soon enough, the video went viral and got viewed by more than 6,200 people, whereas the mother of the children was nowhere to be spotted.
While some people found the clip amusing and funny, others suggested the mom was being irresponsible for letting strangers watch her kids online while she was away.
“I really hope this was a joke or something,” one user suggested in the comment section.
“Stop playing on that damn couch!” another wrote in the comments after the video went viral.
The third commented: “Digital babysitting, hmm.”
While some people were quick to suggest that the mother was in the wrong, others appeared to defend the parent by saying it was all probably staged as part of a big joke.
Whatever the case, the incident quickly went viral after screenshots of the clip appeared on Reddit where users expressed concern for the children.
