A young mother was left shocked after finding a piece of metal hidden in her McDonald’s burger.
It could have almost broken her tooth.
Sydney woman Ada Teaupa had ordered the Chicken n Cheeseburger from the McDonald’s in Cartwright, west of Sydney, on Friday.
‘Look what I found in the chicken & cheese! Nearly broke my tooth!,’ a horrified Ms. Teaupa wrote alongside with photographs of the burger and metal rod.
‘My three-year-old niece ordered a chicken and cheese as well and thank god I didn’t give it to her yet!’
The young mother offered the burger to her niece first. But she ate the burger because the girl said she wasn’t hungry.
When she took the first bite she instantly felt a sharp pain in her tooth.
‘I felt my tooth bite into something hard and thought ‘oh no this is glass,’ she told Seven News.
She returned the burger to the store the manager. He looked so confused by the find, before apologizing and offering her a replacement.
Several other people on social media were equally horrified by the find.
‘Omg it’s a good thing you found it first,’ one person replied.
‘Omg I would’ve driven back and sworn at em,’ another added.
A McDonald’s spokesman told Daily Mail Australia they were investigating the alleged incident.
‘We are disappointed that this has happened. We take food safety very seriously and have strict processes and systems in place,’ the spokesman said.
‘An investigation is currently underway with the restaurant, and we encourage the customer to contact us to help us to investigate fully.’
This is not the first time when the customer complained about something like that. A Delhi man found an insect in his burger.
Also, A Kentucky woman was surprised when she found a needle in her McDonald’s hamburger.
There are many incidents happened when these famous food chains have served these dangerous objects in their food.
