We all know that school has strict rules related to time. You have to be on time to school or else you will have face detention or punishment. Although, there are so many students who get late every day for school.
But the honest students who have valid reasons for the same are always considered to be free from the punishment.
In 2015, when Nicole was driving her son to the school, something happened and their car broke down. Because of the reason, a little hunter who was just 6 years old got late for his school. His mother, Nicole knew that the school was very strict about these rules and she knew her son will get detention for the same.
She wanted to make sure that Hunter does not get punished because the reason for him getting late was very genuine and so she decided to go to his school while the lunch hour. She wanted to see if he was in detention, and if he was in it, how is he holding up.
She came to school to see if her son was ok with the situation or not but what she witnessed was far from punishment but more of public humiliation for such a young kid. She saw that Hunter was sitting alone in a corner in the cafeteria with a partition in front of his face.
The partition was kept there so that the child is not able to get indulged in conversations with other kids around him. he also had a glass beside him with a letter D which meant detention. The little boy was crying and the tears continuously kept flowing out of his eyes.
Nicole was stunned to see what the school was doing to her son because Hunter was hardly ever late to school.
She took the matter to Facebook and the people of Grant Pass came together as a community to help them. They lived in Grant Pass ad the people around the city were all their community.
The community noticed what was going on and so they decided to help. They wanted to make sure that Hunter was never late for his school ever again and so they did something for the family.
When Nicole went to the garage to take her car back, she found out that the car was beyond repair. but she was also handed a key of a van that was gifted to her by the community.
The people had all contributed in so that they could ensure that Hunter is never late to school. This is what teaches us that when there is love, there is a hope too.
