Do you believe in fairytale romance or destiny? If you don’t, then you must check out the love story of Heidi and Ed!
Much like any other ordinary couple, Heidi and Ed have been engaged in a beautiful relationship for six years and tied the knot last summer.
The couple first met each other at the Newcastle University in London, in the year 2011, when Ed had shifted into the student house, where Heidi used to reside earlier. It all started with a text message, sent by Ed asking her about using a dryer.
After that, there was no turning back. The couple, who are now both 26, started dating, and eventually ended up in a stable relationship for six years until they got married. After meeting Ed for the first time at the dinner table, Heidi’s mother, Kay Parker somehow sensed that there was something more about Ed.
When Kay met Ed’s mom, Fiona, at a dinner party, they began to chat about their sailing holidays in the past. Kay joyfully mentioned about 6-year-old Heidi’s cute “holiday boyfriend” whose name was Ed. The duo loved each other and held hands during the two weeks holiday in Turkey.
It was an odd coincidence. When Fiona heard that the name of the boy was Ed, she smashed her wine glass in shock. But the conversation then shifted to much more important topics that day.
However, there was something uncanny about the incident, which Kay couldn’t let go. As soon as she reached home, being driven by her sixth sense, she rushed into her attic to find the old holiday photos, which gave her goosebumps. There was much more to this love story that neither of them realized.
When Kay showed her the 1997 holiday photos from Turkey and mentioned of her “holiday romance” with Ed, she was astonished. She couldn’t believe that the boy who was standing next to her in the photo was none other than six-year-old Ed, whose face was clearly recognizable even with his cute bowl haircut!
Heidi said: “I was screaming; it was just unreal. It’s crazy to think we could have got married, shared our lives together, but then never found out about this.”
Kay then sent the photo to Fiona, and soon, they discovered more adorable holiday photos of the junior lovebirds. When Fiona saw the snaps, she exclaimed in happiness: “Oh my goodness, that’s Ed!”
According to Heidi’s mother, there must have been a subconscious realization, which drove the couple together, when they met each other years later at the school. The bond they shared as children drew them together and flourished into a mature relationship.
Heidi too, agrees with this notion, and said that from the moment she came across Ed, they knew that they were destined to be together, and the holiday pictures further reinstated the fact.
For this couple, fate played a unique role in bringing them together after 20 years, and their love story is indeed a fairytale in the real world!
