An upset mother called out her young son’s teacher after the latter demanded she put her son on a diet.
As Francesca Easdon from Kingwood, Texas, revealed in her viral post, she had an unwanted experience with one of the workers at her 5-year-old son’s daycare center.
According to the mom, she began experimenting with the food she puts in little Kyler’s lunchbox to introduce the picky boy to new healthy options.
One day, in an attempt to make her son smile, the mother also attached a sweet note to his lunchbox. “Please tell my son that his mommy loves him so much and that I’m thinking about him,” Easdon wrote.
While she forgot all about it by the time her son returned home, the mother was in for a big surprise when she spotted a teacher’s reply on the note she wrote to her son. “No! Put him on a diet and go away!” the teacher wrote.
After receiving the offensive response, Easdon immediately reached out to the daycare and demanded an explanation.
“Of course I was absolutely livid and immediately reached out to the school. First thing this morning I was at the school waiting on the director with my mother-in-law for a meeting,” she recalled in her Facebook post.
“I was assured that it was being investigated and handled, yet almost no remorse was shown. I also brought to their attention the fact that on his teacher’s public Facebook page there were mass posts regarding drug use and other very inappropriate content.
“The teacher that wrote this note confessed while I was at work and was fired, but nothing has been done about the other situations. Zero remorse for their actions. I am disgusted that I put my trust in these people to care for my child and this is what I get in return.”
