All expecting moms are excited to get an ultrasound as it is a chance to see their future babies before they are born.
But one mom from Oklahoma freaked out when she recently got an ultrasound.
When Jessica Woods got an ultrasound done, the screen showed what seemed to be a skeletal figure growing inside of her.
She was completely terrified that she decided to show the results online.
Jessica said to Inside Edition: “First, it was like a normal ultrasound and it just looked like a normal baby. And then, he turned his head and that is whenever it started looking skeletal.”
The image showed the outline of a skull and it is a bit far from what parents would expect a baby boy to look like.
“I was kind of creeped out because I never had any weird scary ultrasounds with my daughter,” Jessica expressed. “I don’t know. It was kind of weird.”
People don’t blame her for panicking after seeing the image. Ultrasounds usually show facial features but not like hers. Jessica even thought she might give birth to Skeletor, a fictional archenemy of He-Man in the Masters of the Universe.
Doctors told her there was nothing to worry about as the x-ray was just doing its job. It picked up the image of the underlying bone structure of her child.
“Whenever I first saw it I was like, okay, is this normal? Is he going to like, look normal? But after she explained everything to me, I didn’t really worry about it,” Jessica added.
Her delivery went well and of course, the baby was born with skin. Jessica named him Silas and he is a very healthy boy.
