60-year-old Jane Unsworth from Derbyshire, UK, is finally able to swap clothes with her teen daughter after being known as the obese family member for years.
As the mum revealed, she weighed over 220 pounds just two years ago. While she desperately wanted to lose weight, she found it hard giving up of her favorite foods.
With her 60th birthday coming up, Jane finally decided enough was enough and enrolled in The 1:1 Diet introduced by Cambridge Weight Plan.
In less than two years, she has dropped down to 10 stone and lost 85 pounds.
“This is the best I’ve ever looked, I’ve finally got my sparkle back. Looking at photos of myself aged 30, I can’t believe how old and frumpy I looked,” Jane admitted.
“I dreaded turning 60 before I lost all my weight. My husband, Karl threw a surprise party for my 50th which I hated. As I’m an older mum, due to falling pregnant aged 42 with Maddie, I always felt as though my age and size embarrassed her.
“I knew I had to change my ways ahead of my 60th birthday. I couldn’t be a fat blob any longer, and I knew I needed to be healthy in order to care for her properly.
“My stomach hung over my trousers and every inch of my 5ft 5in frame was covered in extra weight, which I tried to hide with baggy t-shirt and trousers.
“Doctors even warned that I could end up paralyzed as my extra weight was putting too much strain on my prolapsed spina disks, it was petrifying.”
Fortunately, the mother was able to lose all of the extra weight and now looks forward to shopping for clothes together with her daughter whenever they have the time.
“I wear tight fitted dresses, tops tucked into my jeans and brightly colored clothes whenever I can, there’s no stopping me now,” Jane added.
“I look at feel like a different person compared to my 30s, I never want to go back. I’m living my best life now. I’m 60 and there’s no denying I look better now than I ever have.”
