A mother from the US is being given a new title for the world record holder when it comes to the longest interval between the birth of babies ever.
According to media reports, a beautiful and healthy set of baby triplets were born to the mother in different decades, right after the mum delivered them five days apart.
33-year-old Kaylie DeShane hails from the state of New York and now stands with the world record for possessing the longest interval between the birth of her triplets, right after she beat the previously set record of nearly two days.
Kaylie’s first baby arrived on the 28th of December in 2019. However, the following two triplets came in about five days later, which is the second of January in the year 2020.

And that’s because medical experts warned the mum how her firstborn only had about a 9 percent chance of surviving as it was delivered prematurely.point 129 | Moreover, despite the extremely low odds, all three triplets seem to be doing just fine and are all healthy and well.point 226 | 1
They include little Cian, Rowan, and Declan. Today, they’re 17 months old and the proud parents are taking the time out to shed light on their journey that has given them immense fame around the globe.
Kaylie’s child Cian came into the world at just 22 weeks with his chances of survival being very thin.point 378 |
However, the remaining two babies did not follow the first child because little Cian’s entry into the world was very premature.point 113 | For this reason, medics thought it would be a good idea to keep the other two triplets inside the mother’s womb, as long as possible.point 228 | 1
Kaylie explained how she and her husband struggled with pregnancy and in the end, they both felt it was time to opt for IVF. And in the end, the decision proved to be very fruitful indeed. “We both decided it would be better to put two embryos instead of one because that would increase our chances of having a child,” explained Kaylie.
Medical experts also spoke about how there was a 10% chance of it ending up as twins while only a 1% chance of it turning into a pregnancy involving triplets.
