A mother was left fuming after a vegan restaurant ejected her entire family for entering into their premises with a ham sandwich.
Taking her story to Reddit, the mum spoke about the unfair behavior and how cruel and embarrassing the entire incident turned out to be in the end for her and her loved ones.
According to media reports, the mum had reportedly requested the restaurant to bring a plate for her 4-year-old child so that he could eat his meat sandwich that she had brought from home.
Upon hearing that, the servers were quick to notify the owners who just felt that was not acceptable. After all, it was a ‘vegan cafe’ where everything was meat-free.
The mum agreed how it is usually accepted to not bring in food from any place else, especially when you’re dining at another cafe. However, she felt that this was a matter relating to her 4-year-old child and exceptions should have been made in terms of depriving him, despite his dietary issues.
The mum spoke against the unfair act on Reddit, calling the vegan cafe’s owners out for behaving in such an excusable way.
To the mother’s surprise, the majority of online users were in favor of the restaurant’s decision and failed to side with the mother.
Many felt that the cafe couldn’t just turn a blind eye over the incident because it had to do with a child’s meal. Also, the mother had revealed how the restaurant’s owners had requested the mum to order other kid-friendly options for the child as the cafe was a strict no meat and no fish place.
The fact that the mother became furious at the restaurant’s management for failing to oblige to her commands really got the best of her. Moreover, she threatened to take in the sandwich and not leave. But eventually, she had to give up and was forced to walk out with her loved ones.
But the mother didn’t leave without being heard. She started yelling at the restaurant, calling them disgusting for depriving a young child of its own food.
