If you are not planning to have another baby, your child’s old cot that they have outgrown would probably be stored in your attic, donated to a local charity shop, or passed on to a friend or family member.
Or, there is another option, which the mother from Stirling chose.
The thirty-four-year-old mother repurposed her son’s cot so that Dylan could enjoy watching his favorite films in style. The best part of the entire project was that it did not cost her anything.
The proud mother noted that her little son is mad for Toy Story movies and, so, she decided to make him his little cinema snug out of the cot that was no longer in use.
She took the help of John McDonald, her sixteen-year-old neighbor, and transformed Dylan’s old cot into a new frame for his house-shaped den. John did not alter the cot’s structure but removed the sides for forming the little house’s roof.
Then, the talented teenager secured Donna’s old television to the cot’s left side while the mother fixed the inside with cushions and bedding. Then, she weaved some fairy lights around the roof’s wooden panels and finished by putting a mattress cover on the top.
The mother posted on a Facebook group Extreme Couponing & Bargains UK and wrote that it was her son’s old cot and by adding a little TV and some old covers, the child now has his little snug cinema.
She credited her talented sixteen-year-old neighbor for the TV and the frame and disclosed that she had put his son’s chilling zone in her living room.
Her post garnered more than 5,000 likes and many users commented to praise the mother and the neighbor for their talent. Donna also added that the talented boy is extremely good with woodwork and is now putting together an outdoor playhouse for her son.
