But sometimes, spending the whole day in a flamboyant and uncomfortable costume is hectic. Well, the Japanese have solved this problem. In 2014, they started a subculture called Jimi Halloween which means “mundane Halloween.”
The idea is good for lazy people, they dress up in a boring costume and tells their story about plain and regular clothes. The idea was started by a small group of adults at Daily Portal Z who “kind of wanted to participate in the festivities of Halloween, but was too embarrassed to go all out in witch or zombie costumes.”
This tradition became popular with time and known as a big event with hundreds of attendees who gather to party and talks about their costumes with each other.
