This move comes after Disney made five series available on its $6.99 a month streaming service.

Viewers are now greeted with the warning: “This programme includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now.

“Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”

The disclaimer is believed to refer to Muppet characters created as stereotypes of East Asians, Arabs, and Native Americans.

Disney Plus recently blocked children under the age of seven from viewing some childhood classics, leaving parents shocked.

The streaming service has included Peter Pan, Dumbo, Swiss Family Robinson, and The Aristocrats in the list of banned films as they were found to have breached ‘content advisories,’ the Daily Mail reported.

Parents have been left baffled after trying to search for the movies on the platform.

“I wanted to watch Peter Pan with my daughter, but I couldn’t find it anywhere,” one frustrated parent said. “Then I realized they had all gone – they had been removed from the kids’ accounts. It was shocking.”
