A mutant baby shark with a human-like face was discovered by a baffled fisherman in Indonesia over the weekend.
The bizarre incident took place in East Nusa Tenggara where fisherman Abdullah Nuren was hoping for a lucky catch only to come across a bizarre baby shark with eyes on the bottom of its head rather than at the sides.
As the confused man revealed following his Sunday discovery, he initially caught an adult shark in his net. After cutting open the mother shark, however, he came across three unborn sharks, whereas two looked normal and one appeared to have what Abdullah describes as a human face.
“I initially found a mother shark caught in the trawler net. The next day I split the belly of the mother shark and found three pups in the stomach,” the 48-year-old revealed.
“Two were like the mother and this one that looked like it had a human face.”
After taking the mutant animal back to his home, it didn’t take long for the word about Abdullah’s unusual catch to spread around the town.
While many people have since visited the fisherman and even offered to buy the deceased creature from him, Abdullah insisted he will preserve the shark and keep it as a good luck charm.
“My home has been crowded with people who want to see the shark. Many people want to buy it, but I will preserve it instead. I think it will bring me good luck,” the fisherman said.
