A nanny has revealed the extensive ‘list of requirements’ she was handed during a job interview.
Hollis Jane Andrews shared how she was considered for the position and revealed the two sheets of requirements she would’ve been expected to follow.
The instructions demanded the kids were never bored or unhappy before she would ‘magically transform’ into a human cleaning machine and finish a 14-step bullet point list of tasks before they wake up from a long nap.
Hollis took to Twitter and shared photos of the list, writing: “They gave this absolutely BONKERS list of responsibilities and now I give it to all of you.”
The long requirements for the ‘magical nanny/housekeeper’ job states that the candidate must keep the children ‘well fed and well slept’ while keeping the home in order.
It starts by treating the kids with ‘love, car and understanding’ before stating that the parents did not want to hear them ‘crying or headbutting.’
The routine also includes taking the children for a run before taking them to feed horses in a nearby field.
“Take them to a park and play WITH them, make sure you act like a kid with them, never serious, keep them in games, if they are not laughing, they are not happy. If they are crying and yelling they are not happy and as a nanny you need to get them back happy again.”
After that, the successful candidate must teach the children how to swim before preparing lunch and letting them take a nap.
The role them magically switches from nanny to housekeeper, with household chores to complete throughout the home.
“If you can master all of this when we have a happy house,” it states. “NO PHONES OF YOUR OWN AT ALL DURING WORK HOURS. YOU NEED TO BE FIT FOR THESE BOYS!”
Hollis said that the job would pay just over £9. “I did NOT take the job the minute I saw the word ‘dianetics’ – a term linked to Scientology,” she said.
One person commented: “I can’t pick what part of this I’m angriest at.”
Another wrote: “Basically it’s like …..do fun things and be a beyond excellent parent to my children because I can’t be bothered to or don’t want to give up my time to do it.”
