For years and years, we have developed a belief that there is life on Mars.
And to know the same, NASA and other space research agencies from around the planet has been working on.
Till date there has been no proof found that there is any life on Mars or not but the belief is still intact.
Now it looks like that the time is going to change and our belief might come alive as NASA has recently found out a high amount of methane in the air of Mars which is only given out by a living organism on Earth.
The same happened while a Curiosity was taking measurements on the planet Mars and they suddenly found out something they was not really looking for.
This unexpected discovery may trigger an experiment to find out if there is any underground living being present on the planet or not.
While curiosity was taking measurements on the planet it found out the methane level to be 21 parts per billion, this is one-third time higher than the last measurement which was taken recently in 2013.
The discovery is proving out to be an exciting one for the researchers and astronauts as this can mean that there are microbes present on the planet.
As the reports and researches say that Mars had a much hospitable environment with more warmth about 4 billion years ago. This is giving the scientists an indication that some microbes might have had traveled to the planet underground and are living here now.
This discovery also states that it is recent because methane can be easily broken down by sunlight within a span of a few centuries but the levels have only risen up recently rather than going down.
