It is the world’s best feeling to see your children especially when they are born and you get to see their faces.
If you are not able to reach the desired time then things may go wrong.
Here National Guard Sgt. Seth Craven was going to become a daddy and he desperately wanted to see his child as his wife was going to have a C section. So it was necessary for Craven to visit her.
He was stationed in Afghanistan and started to travel for two days but once his leg got hurt and then he could not travel because of the storm as his flight was canceled.
Firs the authorities said it to be maintenance issue then delayed the flight and finally canceled it. As the flight was canceled just a few hours from when he was going to become a father so his patience was being tested.
As he was stationed with west Virginia national guard in Afghanistan so he had to take flight from Kabul to Kuwait and then from Kuwait to Philadelphia as there are no direct flights from Kabul.
He was so desperate to be with his with at the time of birth but his hard luck, his last flight was canceled on the morning of 8th August from Philadelphia.
Craven missed all the flights and vehicle service was also not there just because of the storm.
He told West Virginia news that if he could have managed if the flights were canceled from start now in the middle of the way he cannot do anything.
Suddenly out of luck he met Charlene Vickers who headed towards Craven after hearing his story.
She and her co-workers asked Craven to join them as they were going to west Virginia. He accepted the offer and just reached on time which was an 8 hours drive.
During the drive, they got to know each other and then gossiped about their work. After reached the hospital, he thanked Vickers as if she wasn’t there he could have near reached.
Vickers’ act of kindness revived his faith and she even congratulated the couple with a basket of candies.
