U.S. Navy Plane Crash Results In Casualties And Destroyed Properties


A plane crash involving a United States Navy aircraft resulted in two casualties and a series of destroyed properties.

The tragic crash took place in a residential neighborhood in Foley, Alabama, after the T-6B Texan II training plane that took off in Florida fell from the sky at around 5 on Friday afternoon.

While no civilians have been injured in the crash, two members of the Naval Air Forces died on the spot as the plane hit the ground.

Furthermore, a “large volume of fire” engulfed one of the homes and a series of cars in the area. As Foley Fire Chief Joey Darby confirmed, the firefighters put “a quick stop on the fire.”

According to the Commander, Naval Air Forces spokesperson, Zach Harrell, both personnel who were in the training plane at the time of the crash died. The names of the victims, however, were not released right away.

“T-6B Crash in Foley, AL: A U.S. Navy T-6B Texan II aircraft crashed in Foley, Alabama, at approximately 5 p.m. CST today,” the U.S. Naval Air Forces announced in a Facebook post.

According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, the Navy and the U.S. Department of Defense will be in charge of leading the investigation into the crash.
