A sailor in the US Navy was away from her family for over a year. It was the first time she was away from her mother for such a long time.

Alyson Boltinghouse – a sailor in the US Navy – decided to give her mother a surprise when she was coming back home.

Alyson decided to surprise her mother Sherry at her job after returning from her training after a year.

Alyson’s mother Sherry works in the cafeteria at Fort King Middle School in Ocala, Florida. Alyson decided to surprise her mother when she was at work.

The video shows Allyson sneaking into the kitchen while her mother’s colleagues watch on. She then appears in front of her mother who was left shocked and screamed seeing her daughter after such a long time.

The heartwarming reunion left everyone with a huge smile. Sherry later said: “It was pure joy when I saw her standing there in the doorway.”
