Alfie used to be a no-name dog in a bad situation.
Chained up outside, his territory was a slab of bleak concrete and the tape around his mouth that kept him muzzled.
He cried and barked, but his situation did not improve.
Neighbors noticed morose Alfie tied up outside in the cold. His fur was unkempt. They called the police but the dog’s situation still did not improve. They continued to see Alfie outside on his concrete block.

Eventually, some neighbors made the decision to jump the fence and free Alfie themselves.
In spite of Alfie’s rough beginnings, this story has a sweet ending. Alfie was successfully rescued and now enjoys the outdoors, toys, and the loving companionship of another dog and their fur-ever home.
His new home is where he adopted the name Alfie, along with his new family. Alfie has made a radical transformation—he looks like a completely different dog. With the love of the people caring for him and a safe and stable home, he can now fully enjoy his life.

He’s come a long way from the dog he used to be. He is no longer kept in by fences and chains. Alfie looks happy. His situation begs the question: why was he ever chained up in the first place?
Alfie and his family may never know the answer, but at least they can find solace in one another’s love and companionship.
