A cow peeking into your window while you are enjoying your beef steak is an uncommon thing – but not in this neighborhood of Gloucestershire, England.
An image of a Gloucestershire cow staring into a home is doing the rounds on the internet. The mischievous fella was very comfortable with what it was doing, even after noticing that someone was filming it on camera.
Now if this were to happen to you, you might have been freaked out a little, or a lot, thinking that the ‘avenger cow’ is there to hold you accountable.

However, for Paul Bowler, who lives in the English town of Minchinhampton near Gloucestershire, it wasn’t an unusual thing at all.
According to Bowler, more than 300 cows are let loose on the Minchinhampton Common, which is one of the largest meadows in the Cotswolds.
Bowler, 47, is a manager in recruitment wing at Specsavers and lives on a Butt Street – a street adjacent to a meadow.
This Minchinhampton Common has no border or fence and anyone with a house alongside the meadow has all rights to release their cattle on it for grazing. The 451-acre meadow is managed by the National Trust.
“I just love it, having cows, horses – there’s donkeys as well!” Bowler said.
“They are down the road weekly. They eat the grass on the common but they want to find something a bit tastier, like the odd clematis or rose bush.
“They come down for a munch. You walk out the front door and there’s always a cow pat out there to greet you.
“My dog loves eating them!”
According to Bowler, the cattle are extremely docile and humble, and his nine-year-old daughter loves to see them grazing on the Common.
Bowler continued: “You hear stories about people walking through fields and being chased by the cows – but here they are just so used to seeing humans walking around and stuff.
“Literally, the dog runs in between them and stuff. Plus kids play around them and the cows just don’t flinch.”
Bowler did also shed light on a number of happy and enjoyable experiences he had with the cows during the period he lived adjacent to the Common.
“The cows are amazing, they actually give birth on the common as well,” he said.
“We were just walking past and a farmer was out with one of them and the cow was going in to the bushes to go in to labor. You can see the little tiny babies as well.”
