If you live in a nice neighborhood then chances are high that your neighbors have your back.
Whether it’s borrowing a tool you need or calling the police if they notice someone suspicious lurking in your property (that you’re not aware of), you can count on them to do the right thing.
This is why when homeowners in a Florida neighborhood heard what sounded like a woman screaming for help, they did the right thing and called the cops. Police officers soon descended on the house in question and discovered the hilarious source of the purported screams: a parrot.
The parrot’s owner had a home security camera that captured the moment when officers arrived to investigate the reported disturbance. The police could be seen approaching the “suspect,” the bird’s owner who was going about his business doing some mechanic work in his driveway.
When the officers questioned him, he just laughed, already knowing what was up. He then went inside the house and came out about a minute later with Rambo, the “woman in distress” who started the whole brouhaha.
The owner explained that the beloved 40-year-old yellow-naped Amazon parrot had been with him since he was a kid. That being the case, he may have been so used to Rambo’s antics that he didn’t realize how alarming the parrot’s vocabulary could be to people who aren’t aware of the bird. It also seems that the man is new to the neighborhood because his neighbors were clueless about the bird.
When interviewed, the man explained that as a kid, he had taught Rambo how to scream for help as a prank to annoy his parents. He can’t be blamed for not realizing that it could cause problems for him later in life!

In any case, Rambo got his 15 minutes of fame after showing off his vocabulary to the officers and to the local news crew that came by later to interview the owner. Rambo’s owner even went around the block to properly introduce the bird to the neighbors in order to prevent future misunderstandings.
If attention was what Rambo wanted, he certainly got it!
