With all the photos flooding the social media, everything you see may seem too perfect to be true.
Well, that’s because it usually isn’t entirely real.
From attractive girls in a bikini to perfect meals to ideal morning-look pictures, most people nowadays would do anything for a perfect shot. Some, however, have stood up against the belief that we should always look perfect in the photos we take.
Since there is no such thing as ideal bodies, people decided to come up with a new Instagram trend that reveals the secrets behind picture taking. Their purpose is to take a ‘perfect’ picture along with another picture of themselves that shows what people consider as ‘flaws.’

Posing, light adjustment, and various effects that smartphones offer allow everyone to make the most out of their photos. While that indeed is beneficial at times, constant deception leads to brainwashing the people into believing they need to be ‘perfect’ as well.
Since the trend is out, thousands of people shared their own photos to prove its point. And, news flash, even the sexiest of them may quickly look like a different person when their pose is a bit off or the lighting isn’t at its best.

These so-called 10-second transformations have quickly taken over the social media and allowed people to show the side that they would otherwise prefer to hide. What’s so good about this trend is that it actually motivates and encourages people to be who they are and stop hiding behind perfect pictures.
Megan Jayne Crabbe, also known as @bodyposipanda, is one such person filled with body positivity.
On her Instagram page, she captioned one of her photos with the following: “REAL TALK: the photo on the left is staged as heck. I was told where to put my legs, how to angle my arm, which way to tilt my hips.My eyes were watering from the false lashes and my hair will probably never look like that again.
THESE ARE THE TYPE OF IMAGES WE COMPARE OURSELVES TO EVERYDAY! A posed, polished perfectly lit snapshot of the highlight reel”Instagram @bodyposipanda
Another user, known as @Nienke, shared her quick transformation and wrote: “I have cellulite, much like every other woman on the planet. And yes, in certain poses and lighting my cellulite can look better or worse. First I was very insecure…but why hate it and be unhappy..”

@Tk_line09 is another positive young lady full of inspiration. When sharing her quick transformation, she wrote: “What posed and flexed looks like compared to relaxed and being normal. Sometimes, we’re not all that we “post” to be. But that’s okay!”
