Famous for his performance stunts on the American TV series ‘Jackass,’ Steve-O said in an interview at the LA International Airport with TMZ Sports that since Tom Cruise did not look very interested in the challenge, he would be happy to fight Bieber in his place.
He also thinks of himself as uniquely qualified for this challenge.
Steve also said that his potential as a cage fighter had been overlooked and he is not happy about it. He has already had a word with Dana White about his idea.
Dana is more than happy to have actors fight in the UFC as it would be the easiest fight to promote according to him. Irrespective of this, Dana can only do so much as give Steve a chance if Tom doesn’t step up.
Steve calls Bieber a ‘very sweet guy’ and tells him how much he loves him, but would still fight with him as Bieber was picking a fight with the wrong guy.
Justin Bieber had challenged Tom Cruise for a fight in the Octagon on June 10 via his Twitter account. He tweeted saying that he wanted to ‘challenge’ Tom Cruise for a fight and if Tom didn’t take this challenge, it means that he is sacred and would not be able to live with it.
To make his challenge look more genuine, Bieber also tagged Dana White in this tweet.
Dana White is the prevailing president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is under Dana’s leadership that the UFC has bloomed to become a globally successful and multibillion-dollar enterprise.
But just days later, Bieber went back on his words saying that it was only a ‘random tweet.’ According to him, Tom would probably whoop his ass in a fight as Tom is in super shape and has got ‘dad strength.’
Tom has not yet confirmed whether he wants to fight against Bieber in the Octagon or not. His answer would be a game changer, as Steve will get a chance to show his potential as a cage fighter then finally.
