The question surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming scheduled visit for Prince Philip’s memorial could potentially be down the drains after the Duke of Sussex’s recent security dispute.
Both Harry and Meghan may reportedly turn down the couple’s invite from the Queen, revealed inside experts as Harry’s legal dispute regarding police protection takes center stage.
The couple was scheduled to attend the event and hoped to introduce their daughter Lilibet to the Royal family for the first time but that now seems to be a rare possibility.
The event was scheduled for the upcoming spring season at the Westminister Abbey with many holding high hopes of the couple mending plenty of broken relationships. But instead of things taking a turn for the positive, it now appears to be taking a turn for the negative.
Amid a new judicial review threat, Prince Harry’s legal dispute with the Government of the United Kingdom is taking a new turn that not too many people saw coming.
Moreover, Harry’s display of anger and emotions towards the recent decision by the Home Office to prevent him from paying for police protection for his whole family during his stay in the country has many wondering what the couple’s next step would be.
“If their legal battle remains unresolved in the upcoming few months, it’s a most likely possibility that the visit could be scrapped altogether,” added one royal expert.
The exact date for the high-profile event is yet to be announced to the public but it is believed to be held in spring.
“If the Duke goes, he would like to have all the security for his whole family, he needs security and it’s a major issue for him,” the expert added.
At the moment, Harry is waiting for a valid response on why the Government seems to be resisting his request.
