A new set of more than 250 emojis is being rolled out this year including accessibility-themed symbols, periods, underpants, ice cubes, periods and many more.
But there is one that people are more excited to use than any other emoji – tiny penis. Yes, that’s right. A new emoji where hand doing a pinching motion has been announced to depict a tiny penis to mock modestly endowed men. These emojis will be rolled out to every kind of smartphones and on both Android and iOS.
2019’s update is the major update in the emojis since 2014 and this time a serious consideration is given for the people with disabilities.
These updates were suggested by Apple after consulting with lots of health, non-profits and charity organizations to show more love and respect for people with various disabilities.
The head of a charity Scope said, “Social media is hugely influential and it’s great to see these new disability-inclusive emojis.Up to now, disability has been greatly under-represented.
”Another emoji that has caught the attention is ‘period emoji’ depicting a drop of blood. The design of this emoji was requested by Plan International UK after they held a vote in 2017 on what would be the best way to illustrate menstruation.
After hearing the news on the release of period emoji, the head of one of the girl’s charity said, ‘For years we’ve obsessively silenced and euphemized periods,’ And according to him, in order to end the shame around periods, the first step is talking about it.
Lots of new animal emojis have been added for the animal lovers and the popular ones are raccoons, sloths, otters, flamingos, orangutans, and skunks. There are also emojis for LGBTs in order to show support for their rights. Moreover, to celebrate diversity, different skin colors have been added for the face-related emojis.
Netizens can’t wait when these emoji sets will be rolled out but if you go on Twitter, you will easily come to know that people are anxiously waiting to use ‘tiny penis’ emoji than any other new emojis.
