New Zealand is recording a massive recovery from coronavirus as it has recorded a tremendous fall in coronavirus cases.
Recording the bettering in conditions, the Island nation announced in press conferences that they will be easing the restrictions in the nation.
The precautionary levels will be taken down from level 4 to level 3. The country announced the same while saying they have successfully eliminated the virus in the country.
There has been betterment because very few cases have been registered in recent days. The officials said that the restrictions can be loosened down as with the decrease in cases.
With the least number of cases coming out, it will be very easy for the authorities to keep a check on them.
It was reported that there has only been one positive case, 4 probable cases, and just 1 death reported on the weekend. On Monday the total number of deaths in the country was 19 and a total of 1,469 cases have been reported till now.
New Zealand’s Health Director-General Ashley Bloomfield said that even though the virus has not been cleared out yet, they have gained immense confidence.
The reported number of cases has lowered down to a single-digit which gives them hope that they are soon going to eliminate the virus out of their country.
He said that their goal is to reduce the cases as much as they can so that it becomes extremely easy to follow the links in cases it spreads and then can eventually eliminate the virus completely from the nation.
According to a report by Johns Hopkins, less than 5 million population of the country and the fact that it is an island nation, has helped the country a lot.
