50 Cent’s estranged son has spoken out and offered to pay his dad $6,700 just to spend one day with him.
25-year-old Marquise Jackson, the eldest son of rapper 50 Cent and actress Shaniqua Tompkins, previously slammed his celebrity father’s child $6,700-a-month child support and insisted it wasn’t enough considering his dad’s earnings and the fact that he lived in New York City.
“$6700 a month in … New York City, you do the math. You’re talking about a Forbes lister – you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody – you can’t just live in any neighborhood, $81K is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere,” Jackson said.
After receiving a backlash from people telling him his child support was more than most people earn working honest jobs, the young man doubled down on his stance and offered his father $6,700 just to spend time with him for 24 hours.
“Since y’all think $6,700 is sooo much money someone tell my pops I will pay him $6,700 for just 24hr of his time so we can do everything I ever wanted to do with him as a kid.
Red Yellow Green whatever color he like,” Jackson wrote in his Instagram post along with a picture showing him sitting on the floor next to cash set out to form the word ‘entitled.
’50 Cent previously opened up about his strained relationship with his son in a 2020 Instagram interview with Van Lathan in which he appeared to suggest his son’s actions were the cause of the rift between them.
“I didn’t think that success would cost me my first-born, but it’s the situation it is,” the rapper said.
“My grandfather used to say, ‘If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bit?’ What he keeps saying is, every time you see the boy he show up with somebody you got a problem with. What does that tell you?”
